Master Ishwar Ji's Guidance on Funding

Ishwar Ji set up the project to operate entirely on voluntary contributions.

Ishwar Ji stated that donations (money seva) are best made through love and devotion, without any expectations of rewards.

Quotes by Master Ishwar Ji

In Ishwar Ji’s own words:

“I want every satsangi, even the poorest of the poor, to be given the opportunity to offer something in seva, even if it is only a dollar. I would also like all satsangis, rich and poor, young and old, to participate in the construction, even if they can only carry one brick. Your smallest efforts are precious to me and to Great Master. This is seva of love and devotion.”

“So, we are doing a fundraising for this because we will need funds. We may also need other help. If any technical people are available and want to donate their time for this, I’ll appreciate it very much. It’ll be help too, to my project. If there are non-technical people who just want to say we can provide some work labor for a few hours someday, that’d be welcome, too. It’s really of the same pattern how the Dera Baba Jaimal Singh was created in India that I am thinking that a Dera Baba Sawan Singh will be created in the United States of America.”

History

During the last eight years, Ishwar Ji has directed the ISHA Building Committee to manage ISHA lands and to plan for the construction of a meeting hall in which future Masters can meet and speak. Ishwar Ji always emphasized that the building project was about people, not about the building. He also made it clear that all of ISHA’s construction work would be done using voluntary contributions, and that work will only proceed when there are enough funds to pay for the building. Ishwar Ji would always tell us that the money would arrive exactly when it was needed, not any sooner, and not any later.

Since the building committee was established in 2012, the Meeting Hall design has evolved and changed many times, all under the leadership of Ishwar Ji.  During the last year, the project has continued to evolve as the committee has designed a building that ISHA can afford to build. The cost of the previous design turned out to be significantly higher than the budget that Ishwar Ji approved, so the final design is a less expensive building that contains all of the key components at a lower price.

In January, 2022, ISHA signed a contract with an architectural firm (Sketchworks) to develop the final drawings for the Meeting Hall. If all goes well, and donations are sufficient, construction will begin in the fall of 2022!
